Liverpool Here I aM!!!

Brrr!!! Cold!Cold! Those were the words I manage to utter upon arrival of Manchester Airport. It was so cold, I my teeth were practically chatt...chatte...chatteringgg away. We had to walk quite some distance to the custom and walk we did. The queue was very long as only 1 counter was opened and I thought to myself, I am now in a foreign land. I am now considered a foreigner. How sad.My friends then wanted to puff. Kesian. 7hrs can't smoke. When we transit at Abu Dhabi, the first thing they did was look for the smoking room. Kesian me. Have to wait for them. Haha.
As UK now practice no smoking indoors policy, we had to go outside of the terminal to smoke. And I of course had to go along as I do not want to be alone. Stepped out the terminal and I nearly froze at the entrance. It was really really really cold! It was drizzling and wind was blowing. Gosh! I know I'm gonna fall sick already. Haizzz...
Being the vain us, even cold also want to take pictures. So we posed a bit and smile a bit for the camera. Do we look like we are freezing? Guess not. Managed to keep ourselves warm with some hot chocolate costing 2 pounds 1pence. WAH! That's RM 13.13 leh. Ouch! That's painful but what to do. Had to drink something warm.So there we sat, sipping our hot chocolate while waiting for my friends to come pick us up. In those moments, I start to miss my family and friends. It was just yesterday when I said bye bye to them and now, I am half the globe away from them. Gotta be strong, I told myself. Else how am I to survive 2years here. And so, strong I had to be.
Finally, my friends, Enid & Dawn arrived to pick up these 3 'parcels' (that's us). We packed our luggage into Enid's car and followed Dawn to take a train to Liverpool. We took a transit bus from Manchester Airport to Piccaddilly Station to board the train. When we arrived at Piccaddilly station, the train was about to depart and the platform is at the other end of the station. And so, we had a marathon. Wow! I really salute their transportation system. On-time really means ON-TIME! Don't play play.
Ok. Back to the marathon. We ran and ran as fast as we can. But alas, the train has abandoned us. So we had to wait for about half hour for the next train. While waiting for the train, I had time to ponder again (too free ler). What a way to welcome me. First the rain, then the run. Wow.Gonna remember that for life too. After checking in into Enid's Inn and got ourselves refreshed, we head out for lunch and took a walk about the city centre. Environment here is really clean and the air is really fresh so the walk was good though it was freezing cold!
After lunch, Enid brought us around for a half day tour. Even though we were physically tired, we did not feel it because of the excitement of being in a new place. TO keep us awake, Enid fed us 1 can of Red Bull each. It managed to keep me awake till 12am local time (meaning 7am Malaysia time). Wah! Super Woman! Can survive for so long! It was so cold, I went to bed with 3 shirts and 2 socks!. But upon laying my head on the pillow, I think of my family and friends again. Cried abit but in all the tiredness of jet-lag and running and walking and cold, I managed to fall asleep.
Good nite darling. A new chapter of your life has just begun.
